Bridal Session
Selena and Kris had a romantic bridal session in the mountains near Aspen, CO to cap off their super fun Colorado wedding weekend.
I also captured the couple's wedding the day before at Maroon Bells, but they wanted to spend a little more time taking portraits and exploring the mountains just the two of them!

Wedding + Adventure Session =
the Perfect Weekend
The day before our Aspen bridal session, Selena and Kris had an incredible wedding day surrounded by friends and family. They started with a ceremony at Maroon Bells, then had a reception in Snowmass, and ended the day by jumping into the pool!
But it can definitely be hard to find moments to yourselves during your wedding day. A separate adventure session just the two of you is a great way to have the best of both worlds!
Exploring a Ghost Town
We started Selena and Kris's bridal session in one of my favorite places near Aspen: a historic ghost town. This site was once mining town, and a lot of the buildings have been impressively preserved – you can even go inside some of them!
An adventure session doesn't have to involve intense hiking or going way out into the middle of nowhere. If that's not your vibe, another fun option is to pick a place like this, with lots of interesting backdrops and things to explore together.
A Second Look
A separate bridal session is also a great opportunity to change up your look a bit from your wedding day!
Selena wore a different dress for the couple's Aspen bridal session, and Kris opted for cowboy boots instead of dress shoes.
There are few times in your life you get to dress up in wedding attire and take some fun photos – why not make the most of it?
Bridal Portraits on a Mountain Pass
Our second location in this Aspen bridal session was a picturesque mountain overlook. I came across this spot when location scouting previously (one of the reasons I highly recommend hiring a local photographer for your Colorado elopement or adventure session).
Selena and Kris's love and excitement about their new marriage was so evident in their bridal portraits. They had so much fun just goofing off and spending some sweet, intimate moments together.
